🐾 HOW DOES PET CONSIGNMENT WORK?

Pet consignment is a simple way to earn from gently used pet items you no longer need. You bring in gently used pet gear & accessories—like carriers, toys, & collars—that are in good condition. We review, price, and list them online, handling marketing, pricing, and customer interactions. When they sell, you receive 40% of the sale price within 72 hours via e-transfer. By consigning, you’re helping reduce waste and supporting a sustainable shopping community for pet lovers! 

🐾 HOW LONG DOES THE CONSIGNMENT PERIOD LAST?

Currently, the consignment period is set at 4 months. During this time, your items are actively listed for sale online. If an item hasn’t sold by the end of this period, we’ll reach out to you directly with options. You can choose to have the item returned to you or opt to donate it. This process allows flexibility while ensuring that each item finds a good home, one way or another! 

🐾 CAN I PICK UP MY ITEMS BEFORE THE CONSIGNMENT PERIOD ENDS? 

Yes, you’re welcome to retrieve your items before the 4-month consignment period ends, with 24 hours’ notice. This notice allows us to prepare and gather your items, ensuring a smooth and quick pickup process when you arrive. Simply contact us email, sonja@newbeginningspets.com, and we’ll have everything ready for you!

🐾 WILL YOU NOTIFY ME WHEN THE CONSIGNEMNT PERIOD IS OVER? 

Yes! When you fill out your consignment contract, you can choose whether you’d like us to contact you at the end of the 4-month period. If you opt for contact, we’ll reach out to discuss options for picking up your unsold items. Alternatively, you can select the option to automatically donate any unsold items. This flexibility lets you decide what works best for you and ensures each item finds a purpose. 

🐾 ARE THERE ANY FEES IF MY ITEM(S) DOESN'T SELL?

No, there are no fees if an item doesn’t sell during the consignment period. You only earn money when your items sell, and if they don’t, you won’t be charged. At the end of the consignment period, you can choose to pick up your unsold items or donate them—both options are free of any extra charges. This way, consigning with us is entirely risk-free!

🐾 LOOKING TO DONATE PERISHABLES?

If you have opened pet food, treats, diapers, or similar items that are still in good condition and have not expired, we welcome your donations! You can drop them off at 760 Mayfly Crescent, and we will ensure they go to pet owners who need them. Your contributions help us continue our mission of making pet care more accessible and reducing waste.

🐾 WHERE CAN I DROP OFF/PICK UP MY CONSIGNMENT ITEM(S)?

We have two convenient drop-off locations:

1. Central Location -1621 Woodward: Drop off/Pick up by appointment, Monday to Friday.

2. Barrhaven Location - 760 Mayfly Crescent, Half Moon Bay: Drop off/Pick up by appointment, Monday to Sunday.
